Dr. Becker-Dreps’ research interests focuses on childhood diarrhea and the evaluation of vaccine effectiveness. She has evaluated the impact of rotavirus immunization programs in Nicaragua and the US and is currently conducting studies to understand why rotavirus vaccines have lower effectiveness in low-income settings. She has also evaluated the impact of pneumococcal immunization programs in Nicaragua.
